The family style Beach Hotel Poseidon in the Menetes area of Karpathos is situated near a long beach and bay on the southeastern side of the island. Just 20 minutes from the capital and not far from the airport, the hotel is in an ideal location for a quiet getaway or for windsurfers wanting to experience the nearby famous "Devil's Bay." (There is a shuttle from the hotel to the Pro Center at Devil's Bay.) It is relatively secluded, offers a sandy beach and no traffic. The hotel has 37 simply furnished rooms available for singles, doubles, or triples. It offers a large lounge in the reception area, a bar, breakfast buffet room, and a restaurant with a beautiful terrace. Satellite TV and internet access is available from the hotel. Most rooms offer a view of the sea with a balcony or terrace to enjoy the breezes. At the restaurant, the good cuisine is traditional with a homemade flair, fresh baked bread, with rates that include bed and breakfast or half board.
