At the eastern corner of the Mediterranean Sea, beneath a warm sun, surrounded by clear blue waters and bathed in warming winds lies the ancient island of Cyprus.
Known as the Isle of Aphrodite, Cyprus is blessed with outstanding beaches, strong mountains and emerald forests. It is a blend of old and new and its fame has spread as visitors claim it as their holiday of choice; the friendly people, fascinating culture and rich history give reason to return repeatedly.
The island is divided nationally, with Turkish government to the north and Greek to the south. The capital is Nicosia, also split between these nations and divided by the “Green Line” where guards protect the border.
With its ancient history, visitors can enjoy exploring Cyprus’ many Greek and Roman ruins. The ancient capital of Pathos is a popular destination, as are the Trodos Mountains with their hidden villages and vineyards. Watersports aficionados find several clean, unspoiled beaches as a playground and backdrop to windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving, and fishing.
