What type of hotel room can I expect to find?

All rooms booked on Extreme Elements will have capacity for the number of guests you indicated on your reservation, and according to the number of rooms you requested. We cannot guarantee how many beds in each property’s room, but many properties offer pullout couches or cots to accommodate the total number of guests. Our partner properties will do their best to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Keep in mind that we cannot guarantee a non-smoking room nor can we guarantee what bed type you will encounter.

Can I change the name associated with the hotel reservation?

No. The person whose credit card booked the room must be present at check-in.

What about incidental charges at the hotel? How are they handled?

Hotels will require a credit card to cover any incidental charges incurred during the stay. The amount of available credit needed will vary by property. Some hotels allow a cash deposit to cover incidentals.

How do I request special services, such as a non-smoking room or special access?

How can I add rooms to my reservation?

If you need to book more than one room, be sure to specify the total number of rooms on the Hotel Booking page. Multiple rooms booked during one session will be reserved under one guest’s name and booked at the same hotel. To add additional rooms you must complete another reservation request. Please note that there is no guarantee that there will be availability at the same hotel.

How can I book a large group or convention?

If you need a lot of rooms for a group or convention please Contact Us for assistance.

How do I add additional nights to my reservation?

To add additional nights, we recommend contacting your hotel directly. Since your Extreme Elements reservation price is based on the number of nights specified when booking, the daily rate offered on our site is not guaranteed for subsequent nights.

How do I handle late check in or early check out?

If you need to check in late on your scheduled date or will not be checking in at all that day, please Contact Us. We can notify the hotel of your arrival time and they can hold your reservation until your arrival (within the limits of your scheduled stay). (Go ahead and make a few scenic stops or stop at your favorite roadside diner—take your time!)

If you check out of your room early, please be aware that you will not be reimbursed for unused nights on your prepaid reservation. Purchases from Extreme Elements are final. Your reservation price is based on the number of nights you specified when booking. Once you agree to book a hotel room on Extreme Elements, your credit card is charged for the amount shown regardless of whether or not the reservation is used to its fullest. (Note: see our cancellation policy below.)

What is your pet policy?

Extreme Elements partners with regional facilities, not large chains. Please contact your hotel directly regarding rules about pets. Extreme Elements cannot guarantee that all our hotel partners will allow pets. The property may require a deposit or charge an additional fee.

Can you guarantee non-smoking or smoking rooms?

At Extreme Elements, we request that our hotel partners provide non-smoking rooms. However, room assignments are based on availability and the hotel’s discretion. For specific requests, please contact the hotel directly. While our partners will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee a non-smoking room.
