Near Essaouira’s marketplace, the inn of Casa Lila is a remarkable stop on a Moroccan journey. Once the home of a wealthy spice trader, this historical dwelling has been remodeled by young innkeepers Philippe and Nathalie Vignal. The place presents serenity, complete with spa-like services of massage, aesthetic treatments, and even traditional henna tattoos. Its eight rooms are designed with traditional soft colors and textures, creating an exotic yet calming atmosphere. A large rooftop terrace is outfitted with deck chairs, where guests can contemplate the old city and beach. The innkeepers will arrange excursions by horse, camel, or the more modern quad motorbike, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing expeditions.
